A Shelter Full of Hope and Promise

Baxter – adopted May 2013

Baxter, formally Sebastien, was surrendered to us because he wouldn’t stop chasing the neighbors chickens and he was threatened with being shot.  He is now thriving in his new Forever Home, with his chicken-chasing days behind him!

“It’s almost a year now that we’ve adopted Baxter (aka Sebastian). He’s snoring beside our desk right now.

He’s a great running partner for Stan because he doesn’t run too fast and doesn’t mind the occasional day off. He also still loves to run and socialize when Stan rides his bike through Pacific Spirit Park. He’s still a little bit of work to clean up as he still enjoys to dip his belly in the puddles and streams along the way. He’s learned to play fetch and swim.

He gets a lot of smiles when people see his burglar-like black eye patches. He often fits the part as he has learned to open various gates and doors to get to his toys.

He is very good natured and we feel very fortunate to have him as part of our family.

Thank you to everyone at WAG!”
