A Shelter Full of Hope and Promise

Birdie AKA Bacon – Adopted June 2014

Birdie now Bacon had been bounced around a few different homes, and ended up at WAG in May of 2014. While in WAG’s care she underwent some serious TLC for her skin, ear and dental health, as well as treatment for Eyelid Protrusion.
Birdie was such a characteristic dog, making people smile when they saw her walking towards with her tongue hanging out, it didn’t take long for her forever family to come along!

Thought you might like this picture of Bacon as a flower girl at our wedding!! She really did almost steal the show. She was really good that weekend, roaming around the campground greeting everyone. She is so loved and we are so happy to have her as our little girl. She’s so funny! She loves to roll in the grass, go for (short) hikes and wade in the lakes. In winter she prefers to snooze by the fire and cuddle and snore.

She brings smiles to everyone who sees her. We love our funny, quirky, cuddly bulldog, thank you WAG!

She has her own Instagram if you want to follow her – she is ‘abulldognamedbacon’
