A Shelter Full of Hope and Promise

Bonsai – adopted May 2013

Bonsai was a very big and very loving boy. He waited a long time at the shelter for someone who understood how special he was.  Thanks to his wonderful foster parents, he showed everyone what a big lap dog he was, and was finally adopted by an amazing Forever Family:
“Although a little weary at first, Bonsai’s new favourite activity is ski touring (see picture), he just can’t get enough of the snow. He also loves going mountain biking on the north shore with his dad. When we first got Bonsai, he was very curious about water but stuck to collecting rocks in small pools. Now he is a swimming machine and loves to scare all the fish away when we take him fishing, oh well. Bonsai has come a long way and we are very proud of him considering all that he has been through. He is slowly become more social with other dogs, especially with the ladies around the neighbourhood. Thank you so much for giving us the greatest gift we could ever imagine, a loving companion who always fills our hearts with joy. ”
