A Shelter Full of Hope and Promise

Drop In Volunteering

DROP IN VOLUNTEERING

THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION AROUND THE SHELTER.

Drop in volunteer opportunities change daily and are based on the animal’s needs:

Dog enrichment

  • Yard socialization and play
  • Grooming
  • Dog walking
  • Puppy socialization (please note: if puppies are sleeping, they will not be available for socialization.)

Cat enrichment

  • Socialization and play
  • Grooming

Please remember, this is an Animal Rehabilitation Center; many of our animals have special needs and we can not guarantee there will always be animals available for drop-in volunteers.

PLEASE NOTE:

Please limit volunteer groups to a maximum of three people.

Children under 19 must be accompanied by an adult and may have limited volunteer opportunities.

Anyone taking a dog for a walk must be at least 19 years of age, bring photo ID, and sign a waiver of liability.

Any dog going for a walk is required to wear a safety collar, harness, and two leashes and volunteers are required to securely attach both leashes to their person to ensure safety at all times.
