A Shelter Full of Hope and Promise

~In Loving Memory~

Maggie was a sweet girl who came to WAG in desperate need of medical care as she had a huge infected tumor on her leg and was pregnant, but bleeding. The wonderful staff of the Pemberton Vet Clinic removed her lump and we were thrilled that her cancer had not spread, however the bleeding and discharge continued. Despite the dedicated and compassionate efforts of Dr. Laura and her amazing team, Maggie was not recovering well from her second surgery to spay her and due to the previous infection in her uterus, passed away from cardiac arrest.

Many of you followed her story and made donations towards her procedures and recovery, and we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Maggie was a special girl, and though help arrived too late for this poor soul, she was able to live her last days surrounded by love and people that cared for her.

Hopefully her story will encourage others to spay and neuter their pets, and love, care, and respect them as all our fellow life on this planet deserves.
