About Me:

Hi I am Xena!
Even though I am a senior lady, I still have an immense amount of love to give.  I greet everyone with a tail wag, kisses and a burst of loving energy.  I have had a lot of practice walking on a leash and am very good at it.  I tend to bark at other dogs but am starting to work at that with the help from  people of WAG.   I love playing with my ball and any squeaky toy that is around.  I have a lot of puppy energy left but enjoy my time lazing about and receiving belly rubs.  I get along with every human I meet and am really good friend to respectful children.

My Story:

My owners couldn't afford to pay for my knee surgery and I was surrendered to a vet in Squamish.  Wag was the only rescue contacted that was willing to help me get better and do what was necessary to help me heal.   I am excited to have the surgery done shortly so I can walk better and feel less pain.  I am loosing a lot of fur and I hope that a good quality diet and supplements will help with that.  I am looking for a home that will keep me safe and promptly attend to my medical needs.  In my old age, I  deserve the good life as well as the best care and am ready to give you all of my  love and attention right back.
