What makes me special? Thanks to mine and Douglas’ incredible foster home, I have gained lots of confidence and have turned into a sweet affectionate kitty that will purr and rub up on your legs. They tell me the progress I have made in my foster home is astounding, and it’s hard to believe I am the same cat! I love to cuddle on the couch at night time and will follow you around the house like a little shadow.

My Perfect Family: Douglas and I have a very special bond and are looking for a forever home together. We look out for one another and find comfort in each others company. We are looking for a home that will continue to help rehabilitate us and are aware of feline body language.  We would do best in a more quiet relaxed home without young children or other animals.

My Story:

I was not socialized with humans when I was a kitten, as Douglas and I grew up in a barn, with very little human interaction or care. When we came to WAG we were terrified! We were impossible to examine at the vet and vaccinating us was a big ordeal.  Thankfully WAG found us an amazing Foster Family, who helped us learn that humans can be nice! I am more easily convinced than my brother, Doug, but I can’t blame him, as he has been taking care of us and keeping us safe from danger for many years!

Douglas

Name: Douglas
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Gender: Male, neutered
Age: About 1 year
Size: Medium

Energy Level: Medium
House trained? Yes
Kids? No
Cats? Ira
Dogs? No
Medical Needs: None

What makes me special? When I first came to WAG there was no way I would let anyone touch me! I would hide every time someone entered the room. Now, thanks to my amazing foster home, I enjoy being petted everyday! I will hang out on the couch and even stay out and about when friends come over. I have become such a chatty kitty and will talk to my own reflection in the mirror.

We are looking for a very special home that understands I may not be an affectionate kitty at first, but wants to help a cat in need. We would really benefit from a calm household that will allow us to warm up at our own pace.
