My story:

*NOTE: ME AND MY SIBLINGS WILL BE READY FOR ADOPTION IN OCTOBER BUT ARE ACCEPTING EARLY APPLICATIONS!

Hi I'm Buck!

I arrived at WAG a couple of weeks ago along with my 4 siblings and we have been taken care of ever since by our mom, Luna,  who has been nursing us and teaching us all of the things we need to know.

Once we arrived at WAG with our mom, Luna, we quickly won over the hearts of their staff and volunteers with our bubbly personalities and pint-sized little legs. Me and my siblings will soon be old enough to be adopted and can't wait to start our new adventures in homes of our own! And when she's ready, momma will be able to find a home of her own as well!

Our mom has been the best - WAG says she is nurturing and so sweet but it can be stressful being responsible for 5 little munchkins like us. She will be spayed as soon as possible so she can start her own journey and let us pups start our next adventures in life, too!

We are still growing and LOVE food - We have had lots of help growing and have been getting used to soaked kibble 'mush' whilst weaning. Remember, I am still a baby who will need my family to be proactive and understand that these next few weeks before and after adoption are truly the most important in my life. Early socialisation is where I learn about the big wide human world that we have to live in. There are going to be so many new things I have yet to experience. I need a home that will look at my body language and understand when I may be fearful of something new. I'd love a family that will take me to basic puppy classes to get me off on the right start! A family that is patient and loving is what I would like the most. I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years.

Are you ready to give me the WHOLE package - endless love, positive & considered socialisation experiences, training using positive reinforcement methods, high quality nutrition, vet care as required, and all that puppies need as they grow into dogs? Please keep an eye on our profile for updates as we all get to know each other better, or if you feel that you can offer us the home we are looking for, what are you waiting for? Click "apply to adopt" today!

Remember - adopting a puppy is a huge commitment and these next few weeks and months of their lives are critical in puppy development and socialisation! For more information about preparing to raise a puppy, we recommend the book "The Puppy Primer" by Patricia McConnell and have a few copies at WAG for purchase.

If you require assistance in spaying or neutering your own current four legged pals - please contact WAG to find out more about our FANS program (financial assistance for neuters and spays).

My perfect home:

  • Able to provide a calm, nurturing environment with people that will pay attention to my  body language to understand how I feel

  • Is ready for the 10+ year commitment

  • Loves everything puppy

  • Will continue with basic training, I will need a post-adoption training appointment or Puppy classes with a WAG approved trainer

  • Lots of patience!

  • Will use food as a motivator

  • Will love me forever no matter what, quirks and all!

  • I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years.

  • Will provide me with vet care with annual checkups, vaccine boosters and anything else I might need
