My story:

Hi, I'm Kika!

Myself and Kody are 5-month-old siblings and the shelters newest arrivals, recently transferred from WAG's friends at Lillooet Animal Advocates Society (LAAS). These adorable pups are settling in at the shelter and already winning hearts with their affectionate and playful nature.

Kika – confident, curious, cuddly, and cute!
Kody – gentle, observant, and a little more shy, but equally sweet.

These two are still discovering the world and all the new sights, sounds, and experiences it has to offer. While they’re a bit green when it comes to life experience, they’re picking things up quickly – from learning their names to doing their business outside and getting used to wearing harnesses for walks.

Kika is the brave leader of the pair, always the first to say hello and try something new. Kody tends to hang back at first but follows his sister’s lead and gains confidence with her by his side. Both pups are incredibly loving, food-motivated, and eager to learn – and they’ve already started exploring some fun enrichment activities here at the shelter.

They weren’t too sure about their first big car ride from Lillooet, so they’ll both need some support as they get more used to travel and other new experiences. Despite that, they were sobrave for their first health checkup and are up to date on their flea/tick treatments and deworming. They’ve started their vaccine series and will be spayed and neutered soon.

Kika and Kody are each looking for patient, loving families ready to help them continue learning about the world with positive reinforcement, plenty of love, and lots of playtime. A home with a confident dog friend could be a great match for Kody, and both pups would thrive in environments where they can build confidence and feel safe.

If you’re ready to add a sweet, snuggly sidekick to your life, apply to adopt Kika or Kody today – they can’t wait to find their forever families!

If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider becoming a member of WAG's monthly donation club - 'Love on Four Legs'. Your monthly gift helps fund urgent medical care, safe shelter, adoption and fostering programs, and essential community education on responsible pet ownership. With your support, our dedicated team can ensure that every animal receives the care, love, and second chance they deserve.

My perfect home:

  • Able to provide a calm, nurturing environment with people that will pay attention to my  body language to understand how I feel

  • Is ready for the 10+ year commitment

  • Loves everything puppy

  • Will continue with basic training, I will need a post-adoption training appointment or Puppy classes with a WAG approved trainer

  • Lots of patience!

  • Will use food as a motivator

  • Will love me forever no matter what, quirks and all!

  • I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years.

  • Will provide me with vet care with annual checkups, vaccine boosters and anything else I might need
