My story:

Meet Milo!

(I am in a foster home locally)

Hi, I’m Milo. I’m a brave, independent and energetic beauty. I will chase toys around all day

long if you’ll make them move for me, I love to pounce, run, jump, climb and dive roll my

way around the house. Being the brave girl that I am, it’s not that I’m afraid of affection, it’s

just that I’d rather sit where I can see all my favourite hoomans at once and send each of

them slow blinking messages of love, or greet them with an outstretched paw. Once I trust a

hooman I’ll consider lying next to their legs a little, but I’m not what they call a “lap cat”. I

do love a chat though, and I’ll soon find ways to communicate what I really want.

My favourite things to munch on are grass, bread (sourdough is my fave) and Churus!

This mini but mighty kitty amazed us with her strength and bravery. Milo arrived at WAG after becoming very unwell with something we later learned was 'pyothorax'. She was fighting for her life with difficulty breathing, serious infections and sadly had gone into early labour and lost her kittens. There was a huge amount of puss built up around her chest which needed to be drained each day as it continued to accumulate. Her amazing team at Coast Mountain Veterinary Services worked around the clock and gave her the best chance possible, and several days later she was able to leave the hospital and continue her healing. Milo was not yet out of the woods, requiring various medications several times a day and close monitoring.

After lots of Love and Care from her vet team and careers at WAG, Milo pulled through and continues to thrive daily in her foster home.

A huge thanks goes to to Coast Mountain Veterinary Services for giving Milo the chance she deserves—and to everyone who’s donated to our Critical Care Fund. Your support is what makes miracles like Milo’s recovery possible. We are SO proud of this little fighter!
