My story:

Hi, I'm Bear!

I’m just over a year old, and I’m learning more about the big wide world every day. My confidence is growing all the time, but I’ll admit—I can still get a little spooked by new things. (If a plastic bag suddenly shows up where it wasn’t before, you’d better believe I’ll notice!)

I arrived at WAG with my four siblings. My two sisters went to Pemberton PAWS, and my brother Bestie has already been adopted. That leaves me and my brother Bigfoot here at WAG, waiting for our turn to find forever families.

It can take me a little while to trust new people, but once I know you’re safe, I’ll be right by your side asking for cuddles. I promise the wait is worth it—I give the best snuggles!

Walks are something I’m still figuring out. Sometimes I feel nervous, especially when it’s busy, but I’m getting braver. I feel extra confident when I can walk with my brother Bigfoot (he’s also looking for a home!). I love to play with toys, especially chasing after balls. I don’t always remember to bring them back, but I think that just means you get extra exercise too!

What I’m looking for is a kind, patient family who will cheer me on as I keep learning. With love, gentle encouragement, and maybe a few tasty treats, I’ll blossom into the most loyal, snuggly companion you could ask for.

Will you be my forever family?

If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider becoming a member of WAG's monthly donation club - 'Love on Four Legs'. Your monthly gift helps fund urgent medical care, safe shelter, adoption and fostering programs, and essential community education on responsible pet ownership. With your support, our dedicated team can ensure that every animal receives the care, love, and second chance they deserve.

My perfect home:

  • Is patient and understands that I will need time to settle in and relax after my adoption and go at my own pace. I have had lots of huge change in my life recently and have a lot to learn.

  • Be proactive with my training, using a WAG approved trainer that will help me gain confidence and give me the best set up for success in my new life.

  • Having a safe & secured yard would be a bonus for morning zoomies and ball play sessions! If not, being okay with using a long line to allow plenty of freedom but keep me safe works too.

  • Will take me for regular vet checkups and be proactive with my health, whatever that may include moving forward.
