My story:

Hi, I’m Neo!

I’m new around here, and the staff are still getting to know me. The girls say I’m a beautiful 9-month-old Border Collie and, despite everything I’ve been through, one of the sweetest souls they’ve ever met. I’m full of love, gentle tail wags, and I give the best hugs! I’m so, so grateful to be at WAG ❤️‍🩹

Neo came to us through a very difficult situation. When he was found, he had been tied to a tree with no shelter, and a chain-link collar had become embedded in his neck. This case is currently under investigation.

The incredible team at Coast Mountain Vets carefully removed the collar, treated his injuries, and named him Neo, which means “new beginnings.” With medication, rest, and lots of comfort, he has started to feel better—and true to his nature, he’s already showering staff and volunteers with trust and affection 💙

Neo wasn’t alone. He also arrived with eight tiny puppies, who are now safe in our care and available for adoption too!

Now that Neo is healing, his personality is shining through. He loves going on walks, enjoys a good game of fetch in the yard, a good chew toy and would be happiest with an active family who can keep up with his bright, playful, Border Collie spirit.

We’re so grateful for everyone who has helped Neo along his recovery journey. This brave, gentle boy is now searching for a forever home—one that will keep him safe, active, and shower him with the love and affection he so deeply deserves.

Could Neo be your new best buddy? 🐾💛

My perfect home:

  • An active family with patience who love high energy young dogs who need some extra support, able to provide me with a safe space.

  • Is dog savvy and willing to take a couple of trips to get to know me before taking me home. I can sometimes be unsure of new people when I first meet them so we take things slow

  • Understanding that I have had HUGE changes in my life. I will need you to give me the time I need to settle in and relax after my adoption, whilst you help me gain confidence.

  • Will understand canine body language (or is willing to learn) and will listen to my communication when I am unsure of new things, and go at my own pace as I settle into my new surroundings.

  • Be proactive with my training, using a WAG approved trainer that will help me learn transition and give me the best set up for success.

  • Having a safe & secured yard would be a bonus for ball play, agility or scent training sessions! If not, being okay with using a long line to allow plenty of freedom but keep me safe as I settle in.

  • Will take me for regular vet checkups and be proactive with my health.

  • Is ready for the 10+ year commitment.

  • I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love, kindness and keep me safe for the rest of my years.
