About Me:
Hi I’m Maxx!
I am a very friendly, happy, bouncy, high energy boy! I am excited to meet every human and dog that I can! I am feeling healthy and ready for my next chapter, recovering from my neuter in a lovely foster home. I love to play, jump, run laps around the yard and go on adventures with my friends. I am pretty strong and am still learning to relax whilst walking on a harness and leash. However I am super smart and tend to pick things up quickly. I love to show off my skills, such as SIT, TOUCH and DOWN. I can’t wait to show you how much I can learn in my forever home. My new people will need to be patient with me whilst I settle in and make sure I am safe as I can become over aroused when cars and bikes are passing at speed. We recommend a GPS to be purchased as an additional took to keep him safe. We also recommend him to travel crated in cars at first as I am still getting used to the excitement of car travel!
I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years. A training program with my new family would also be beneficial to all of us, as I am working on my basic manners. I can’t wait to find my forever home.
Notes from his foster pawrents:
“Maxx has major main character energy – he knows what he wants, and that’s to be the centre of attention! This curious guy is full of beans and is made to run, jump, and chase. Speaking of chasing, cat siblings are definitely a no-go. Maxx gets along well with other dogs following a proper introduction, but can sometimes bark at them from a distance to ask them to come play.
He likes to be in the middle of all the action, so moving vehicles really rev this guy up. Because of this, Maxx must be crated or secured on leash in the car. Listening to music while driving helps him relax some too. He also likes the crate inside the house and sometimes chooses to lie in it to rest.
Maxx is one smart cookie but he isn’t very food motivated, so toys and play-time are the way to his heart! He needs LOTS of mental and physical exercise, followed by plenty of pets and cuddles. He’s definitely the jealous type – how dare you cozy up on the couch without him! When it comes to bedtime though, he prefers to stretch out on the floor. He also makes a great alarm clock – his face boops are guaranteed to get you out of bed in the morning.
This sweet boy has lots of love to give, but needs lots of love in return! “
