About Me:

Hi, I’m Mocha!

I am a young goofy guy who will need a family who is very patient as it may take me a while to adjust to a new home. I can be a little timid when meeting new people, I just need to feel comfortable and then you will be my best buddy! I hope that my forever family with think of training as a fun thing to do together.

I will thrive in a calm, nurturing environment with people that will pay attention to any signs of anxiety I may show.

I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years.

I can’t wait to find my forever home.

My Perfect Match
  1. Is willing to take a few trips to WAG to get to know me before taking me home.

  2. Loves goofy loveable quirky boys

  3. Eager to learn more about dog body language so you can understand what I’m communicating to you!

  4. Will continue with training – I will need a post-adoption training appointment with a WAG approved trainer

  5. Able to provide a calm, nurturing environment with people that will pay attention to any signs of anxiety I may show.

  6. Lots of patience!

  7. Will be strong! I am a strong fella who sometimes focuses a little too much on birds and squirrels.

  8. Will love me forever no matter what, quirks and all!

  9. I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years.

My foster Family has been helping me settle into a new indoor environment, check out their pupdate they sent through –

I love being outside and going for walks, hikes, and runs – especially if you let me stop often to sniff and leave my mark. I could play fetch/catch all day and am really goofy when I pounce on the ball and catch snowballs! I really love ripping the stuffing out of my toys and playing with my people – tug is guaranteed to make my tail wag! I also love cuddles and will lay in your lap for attention; I’ll even sleep on your bed if you’ll let me. Even though being inside is still a little scary, I am really calm and well behaved indoors – I don’t get into or chew anything I’m not supposed to. I am also really good in the car! I have a sweetheart and a big brain – I often know what you want me to do but sometimes it’s a little too scary to do right away. I am very quiet and only “humph” or bark when I get frustrated (for example if you want me to come inside but I’d rather stay out). I will communicate with you through my body language so I need an owner that is observant and both excited for and committed to training. I get along with men and women, but can be timid when meeting you for the first time or if I don’t recognize you right away.
I need love and LOTS of patience. Sometimes I can get excited and pull on the leash, so I need an owner that is strong. I’m getting much better though – especially once I trust you and know that you’ll give me treats! Doors and doorways are a big trigger for me, so I need lots of patience and encouragement in the form of kind words and tasty treats.

My Story:

I had a family that loved me lots! They were so sad to bring me into WAG, but they knew they’d find me my perfect home. DONATE TO WAG! Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.
